Located in one of the world’s leading manufacturing areas, Sheffield Calibration Services Ltd is a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory specialising in dimensional calibration. Serving industries for over thirty-five years, current staff have collectively amassed over 75 years of experience and knowledge so quality and confidence is assured with our highly experienced staff performing calibrations on trusted machinery.
Sheffield Calibration Services Ltd was formed from the closure of the dimensional laboratory within Element Materials Technology (Formerly, Sheffield Testing Laboratories Ltd). The dimensional laboratory is accredited by UKAS to ISO 17025 2017. We perform an intensive yearly audit to ensure we have constantly performed calibrations impartially with competent staff in a stable environment (20°C +/-1°C) with accurate machinery with the ability to ensure the results of the calibration.
We offer UKAS calibrations on an extensive range of common dimensional measuring equipment, length and diameter measurement (including screw threads), angle and form measurement. as well as offering gauge inspection covering a wide range of geometric features including Flatness, Parallelism and Squareness. We can also perform calibrations on a number of items to in house standards.
Some of our current customers include businesses from the Aerospace, Automotive and Railway Sectors. Manufacturing and Building companies, the Oil and Gas sector plus the NHS, Universities and Local councils.
We have a standard lead time of around five working days. Express calibrations can be specially requested but may not be accepted by the laboratory due to current workload or impartiality concerns. We also offer a free collection and delivery service for local companies and we can collect and deliver via a national courier service (including next day delivery).
